Bob Byrnes, PGA serves as the PGA ExecuSearch Consultant for the Carolinas PGA Section.

Byrnes holds over 32 years of rich experience as a club professional, with a deep-rooted passion for mentorship and career advancement. Throughout his distinguished career, Bob has been deeply committed to helping fellow professionals define their goals, refine their skill sets, and navigate their career paths, which he considers among the most rewarding of his professional life.

For 12 years, Bob served as a Carolinas PGA Section Officer and Chapter Director, driving key initiatives to enhance member engagement, programming, and section-wide communication. Notably, during his tenure as Section President during the COVID-19 pandemic, Bob collaborated with allied associations to safely keep golf facilities open, safeguarding member employment and ensuring stability across the region. His leadership extended nationally through his service on the PGA National Employment Committee in 2023 and 2024. A proven mentor, Bob has guided numerous assistant professionals throughout his career, with five advancing directly into Head Professional and executive management roles.

His dedicated service and competitive background have earned him widespread recognition, including being named the 2022 Carolinas PGA Golf Professional of the Year, earning two-time NAIA College All-American honors, and receiving induction into the Elon University Athletics Hall of Fame.
