TIM MARKS, PGA

Tim Marks serves as one of four PGA of America Team Leaders responsible for overseeing the PGA’s Execusearch Consultants. Marks also assists with the strategic direction of the department and is one of two Major Accounts Managers for the industry’s larger golf management companies for the PGA.

 

Marks is a 32-year member of the PGA of America and has a background as a Head Golf Professional and General Manager during a career spent at private and public facilities. The Ferris State University graduate has a long list of Association service that includes one term as District 6 Director for the PGA of America Board of Directors and nine years of service to the Wisconsin Section of the PGA culminating as their President from 2001-2003.

As an assistant professional, Marks began his career at Royal Poinciana Golf Club in Naples, Florida. He subsequently moved to Wisconsin and began his tenure in the Wisconsin Section as a Head Golf Professional and then General Manager of Bull’s Eye Country Club. After 17 years, Marks moved to the Chicago area and became the Head Professional and then General Manager of Ravisloe Country Club.

In 2011, Marks was hired as the Career Consultant for the Wisconsin, Illinois, Gateway and Michigan sections. His successful rise in the department was capped with his hire as Director in January of 2017. Marks has been instrumental in re-shaping the department for the future successes of PGA Professionals across the country. Marks manages the central region team of 5 consultants.

Marks lives in Southwest Michigan with his wife, Diane and daughter Katie.
